My glowing skin recipe!

We all want that healthy natural glow, don’t we?! I’m all about “less is more” in this fast-paced beauty industry.

I want to share with you my top tips for beauty & lifestyle that I follow day to day.

Now we know beautiful skin doesn’t just happen, the first place to start in my opinion would be your gut health... I have learnt so much in the past year about gut health and how it is linked to so many of our ongoing issues internally and externally. Think of your body like a plant, for it to flourish and stay healthy we need to feed it the right things. I have been seeing a naturopath the last 6 months and have been sticking to a healthy routine, incorporating probiotics, magnesium & herbal medicine made solely to benefit me and my issues (constipation, aching joints & muscles, headaches, anxiety to name a few) and have never felt better. I do like a cheeky wine a couple of times a week (sometimes more ☺) and still indulge sometimes but the most part I do try to eat healthy. I’ve traded bread for gluten free (even though I’m not celiac) I just find it doesn’t bind me up like normal bread, I drink almond milk in my coffees and have swapped Greek yogurt for coconut yogurt. Just a few small changes that keep my tummy happy! I’ve also swapped white wine for red... so grown up right!! (I may be sipping on a glass as I write this blog ☺) everything in moderation right?!

Exercise... hate it or love it this plays a huge role in my mental and physical health... I have just started doing PT sessions 3 times a week. At 6am.. yes, it’s a struggle but believe me it sets you up for the day and gets everything moving. Release endorphins and stress and in turn your body and skin will thank you for it...insert healthy glow ☺

Next skincare..

My skincare of choice is Dr Spiller, their philosophy is Biomimetic Skincare... meaning it mimics our skins natural functions... Dr Spiller is oil based, which does scare a lot of people, but think about it...your skin is waterproof... if the product’s you are using are “water” based they won’t absorb into the skin as quick as oil based products! So it just makes sense!

We offer free skincare consultations at Harper & Grace and can guide you as to what would be best suited for your skin!
